Econo Lodge Ottawa

The man working the desk the night of arrival could barely speak English. It was very difficult to communicate with him. In fact, it was almost useless. He was pleasant appearing, but who knows what he was saying? This was the case when I spoke with him on the phone, and again upon reaching the hotel.

Breakfast with waffle iron and oatmeal, for example. All the staff was willing to help.

The attendant took a xerox of my credit card for what unknown reason when I told him I wanted the copy he it was for future reference I made him give me the copy.. Seemed fishy to me..

The man that checked us in, was not very friendly. Couldn't really get him to explain the charges, he just said it would be divided out in the morning bill. When morning came there was a charge on there for the safe, which we did not use, & was not told about the charge. The lady in the morning was very nice & returned our charge for the safe.

Not as bad as I thought!

We stayed for 2 nights during a busy weekend. Our room was super clean, had a nice cold AC, and even a coffee maker which was a lifesaver! Didn't get to try the breakfast, but it looked decent. Just wish the rate wasn't so high since it was the last option in town.

we were traveling so good location just off interstate. windows opened.

lights above bathroom sink had lots of dead bugs. unfriendly desk person on evening shift.

Could not get WIFI after 9:00pm

We stayed at econo lodge for two nights and were actually surprised! Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean with ice-cold AC. We had a coffee maker and plenty of towels. It's conveniently located near travel lodge and best western. I really appreciated the pleasant front desk staff. Definitely a great value for money!

Perfect setting, it's close to Ottawa-Comfort, Travel Lodge and Best Western, and various dining options. The rooms are large and impressive with 2 queen beds and Extra coffee, for example. The staff are very amiable.

Rude treatment from the owner overshadowed our stay, especially regarding our well-behaved pets. Despite the motel's claims of being pet-friendly, we felt unwelcome. The homemade Belgian waffles were a highlight, but the lack of customer service left a sour taste. Other options in town seem far more accommodating for travelers with pets.

I reserved on line and asked for extra coffee. When I checked in to my room, the extra coffee was already there as I requested. I appreciated it because I arrived later in the evening, and once I got to my room I could just relax and enjoy it.

Price, the rooms were suitable or above for the price we paid and check in was very easy.

The room was cozy, but the distinct odor was off-putting.
